The first thing Jack noticed when he opened his eyes was that there was no way he was still in Wonder, South Carolina. For one, the moon was never that big and there was only one. He shook his head and tried to clear his blurry vision. Yet when he looked for a second time, there were still two white orbs in the sky. He sat up only sway back and forth and trying to keep from fainting once more.

Gathering his wits, he turned to see he wasn’t alone. There was Eliza, his sister and his childhood best friend, Quill. They were in the same state as him, delirious and confused.

“Where are we?” Eliza asked, clinging nervously to Quill.

“The back of a truck, by the looks of it.” Quill replied, wrapping a protective arm around the girl.

Jack looked up, yep, two moons. They were moving steadily along up an old beaten path to god knows where. The back of the bed was open and he could see trees at every corner.

“What should we do? Are we being kidnapped?” Eliza questioned, tears brimming her eyes.

“Grow up, El. Were going to get out of this, we always do. So cut the tears.” Jack said harshly. It was the same thing every time something went wrong, Eliza got scared and Jack got mad at the situation.

“Leave her alone Jack!” Quill snapped, giving the girls shoulder a squeeze.

Before Jack could give an attitude fill remark back, the truck stopped and the diesel engine was cut off.

The only sound that could be heard was the driver side door opening and closing.

Jacks mind was flooded with images of the villains from every horror movie he had ever seen. His subconscious finally settled on a mix of Jason Voorhees and Mike Myers. But what he was greeted with was nothing like he expected.

The woman in front of him was beautiful. Long raven colored locks that fell to the back of her knees with deathly pale skin and eyes like day and night. One was fiery red like the sun-or blood-and the other was an icy glacier blue. She was lean, with an athletic build and bountiful chest, like a girl from a vampire book. She had the looks that other girls would kill for, and Jack wondered if she had.
