Penny and Jack went to the hospital and visited with Norma.  She was heavily drugged but looked Penny over from head to toe during the visit.  As Penny was getting ready to leave Norma looked at her and cocked her head to the side.  “Jack, most of today I was cursing you for putting the tourniquet on my leg and myself for training you so well that you did it right.  Most of today I felt I would have rather died than live without a leg.  The pain has been hell.  God was it bad when I was shot.  And it still hurts really, really bad.  Without the drugs I would be hanging on to the side rails of the bed.  And then you bring Penny in here dressed like this.  And I lay here watching you eyeing her like some swim suit model and damn I admit she looks good, with one leg she does look good.  I think I can make it.”  Penny and Jack turned red.  Jack wanted to protest that he wasn’t looking but if it was that obvious that his half-stoned partner could see it any protests were futile.  So instead he said,  “You will make it that I am sure.  She does look nice in that outfit.”

“Boy is that a lame statement.  And another thing; most of the girls you have gone out with are real dogs.  I think the last two of them actually were canines in disguise.  Together they had a combined IQ of less than 100.  The only thing they had was big hooters.”  She drew out the word big for emphasis.  “In fact their bra sizes were probably higher than their IQ’s.  Moo.  I think the one bought her bra’s in pairs at the auto parts house; one for her and one for the car.  I guess it’s good I got shot.  The only way you can get a worthwhile girl to go out with you is to claim you need her to come in to see me.”

He turned very red.  She was obviously stoned enough to be uninhibited and when it came to telling people what she thought she was quite open even when she was sober.  He responded to try to take the impact off what she has said, “I can tell you are going to be fine.  You are badgering me already like you always do.”
