More missiles are being brought on line.

Seven hours into the EVA Karen and Lyle finished loading the third launcher. It took Jeff and Bobbie two hours to complete its connection. During the time Kar en and Lyle were loading the last missiles Trantina and Uri were preparing their shuttle for the journey to station 6. This included connecting a set of external fuel tanks.  Normally the flight would be made in about twenty four hours in a fuel saving mode. This one would be made in just under nine hours and they would need the extra fuel, half of it to slow down more than the usual and the other half to speed up.  As soon as they completed the arming they moved to the shuttle for transport.  Karen and Lyle slept most of the trip and Trantina and Uri took turns sleeping also.  All four of them would be needed for arming. They docked at station 6 just before 0400.  The arming crew was ready to start loading their second station.

Myra Sturnik and Joe Jarvis greeted Karen, and Lyle on station 6. Trantina and Uri got four hours of needed rest while Karen and Lyle planned their work. They identified the various components and listed the first moves. They wanted the first launcher and missile cassettes to get started working. By noon arming the station was in progress. By the end of the EVA the first launcher was in place and ten missiles were in the launchers.  Another hole was shrinking but just as important they might prevent station 1 needing to expend twenty or thirty missiles to get an acceptable kill ratio that Station 6 could get with ten.
