The other thing was she could not believe how much she resembled this person in the file. She tried to ask her parents why she did not look like any of them but they just made an excuse and told her she looked like her grand mother who had passed away. May had seen photos of her grand mother and was certain she looked nothing like her.

Suddenly everything made sense to her now. The Johnsons were always protective of May. Anytime they saw her talking to a close friend of theirs they were always interested in knowing what was discussed. Meanwhile back in the next town while May was discovering she could be adopted Cristabel broke down and told Betty in the nursery that she once had a child who will be 25yrs now and she did not know the where abouts of that child.
