Betty and Joseph were heart broken, still waiting to get news of the where abouts of Liz. Unknown to anyone Cristabel had a child at 16yrs which was given up for adoption. She was a girl, now 25yrs old. She was in town and had taken Liz after a well plan get away. Cristabel never spoke of her existence so the Robinsons never were aware of that.

He picked Liz up and gave her to May who was at that time unable to give the parents a phone call, the officers became suspicious. The officer quickly snatched the baby from May and asked her to move away. The other officer called to the staton and informed them there was a posibility they had found Liz. At that moment in time Peter and Mary Johnson who had gone into the next town which was the exact town that Liz got adapted from returned home. The minute they saw the two officers, a baby and May, with May looking very sorry. They shouted out” May, tell us you did not do what we think you did.” A uniformed officer knocked on the door to say they had telephoned the Robinsons to come to town to verify if that was their child.
May broke down and cried, she turned to her parents and said she had seen the file in the safe. She was certain she was adopted. She asked the Johnsons why they did not want her to know her real parents. They were shocked but not too surprisr because May was always a bright child and was quick always to put one and one together to find out information. They were sory she had to find out that way and Mary explained they kept the file for May’s own sake:They were just never sure when the right time was to let her know and have the file. They went to the safe and brought the file out. The officers at the scene looked at it and realised the resemblence to Cristabel. They just shook their head in amazement.
Betty, Joseph and Cristabel were still on route to the next town where Liz had been found and to occupy their mind with something else were going through the news paper and discussed the plane crush a few days ago as well as other news in the paper they were suprised though to discover there was no mention of their daughter anymore in that news paper. Mean while May had confirmed that was the Robinsons baby and told the police how she had discovered the file in the safe, read all the articles and convinced herself she was adopted. She went to find her real mum but found her taking care of a child. She put plans in place and went and took the child. The owner of the car May took to get away had been informed.
She came down to the Johnsons house, the police had wanted to take May to the station but her Mum and Dad were very good speakers so managed to convince the police it was best dealt out of the station as there had been no harm to Liz. And she would plead temporally insanity to any charges that was brought against her. The officers waited there until the Robinsons arrived and reunited with Liz who was very happy and oblivious to what was going on. She jumped into her mums arms when Betty got near her and carried on playing. She got everybody on the scene looking at May. May’s mum asked her if she wanted a baby of her own she remarked some day. All that is well that ends well said one of the officers.
