The colony.
As Susan opened her eyes (now glowing green), she spoke to Ant.
“This is the part where you lose.” Step by step she pushed him back, making his body shudder under the strain. Grimacing, Ant kept increasing his height and mass, but to no avail; nothing he did could stop this girl. Using a desperate burst of strength, Ant managed to extricate himself from Susan’s grip at last (for even she found it hard to hold onto fingers that had grown so large). Using his “ace in the hole” – his ability to move at the speed of sound – Ant threw a punch at Susan, but that punch only glanced off her. And still she was moving forward like a pit-bull off her leash; punching and kicking him; he was getting owned by a girl. Susan finally heaved him into the air and with a punch sent him flying for miles in the distance.
“Crabs, destroy her!” Aggie ordered with a shriek. The Crabs that obeyed were all quickly dispatched, with punches, elbows and knees all making *hung gar* moves; the Crabs were shattered like useless glass.
“Celeste, free Samuel!” Aggie cried desperately.
Celeste (who had hung back from the melee until then) engaged Michael, who was still wrestling with Samuel. As powerful as he was, Michael wasn’t as well-trained as Rafael Goldwing; he couldn’t engage two such powerful Elementals at the same time. While Celeste kept Michael busy for the moment, Samuel delivered an electric shock of lightning to Susan, but she marched on through that as well, healing and stomping forward.
Samuel then lashed out with the chains which protruded from his back to imprison her. “I have her; she cannot escape.” Susan was quite surprised that the chains held her.
“You look shocked! Don’t be; my chains are made of durin. I was created to protect Adami dogs like you, but I too am apostate. As you well know, durin is unbreakable, indestructible; your power is useless.”
“For an Elemental, you’re rather foolish,” Susan shot back.
“*Ha!* *Explain *that* one to me.”
“Don’t you know that He who made durin can infuse me with strength enough to break it? Whatever’s made by the Maker can be unmade by Him.” Susan pulled and heaved a mighty heave and the chains began to strain.
