“…I think she may be a bit schizophrenic or something…You know delusional.” I couldn’t believe what she was saying. I knocked on the door anyway and they said I could go in.

“Well you didn’t tell me before hand that we were going to be lying to them.” I said back. “Are they going to make us leave?”

She shook her head no. “They will let us stay but now they are going to be all parental on us.”

“Sounds like somebody I know…” I said trying my best to smile warmly at her.

“Go take a shower real quick and then come down stairs. I’m going to go finish helping them get the table set up and everything.” I nodded to her. I thought it was odd that when she was alone with me her tone changed and she spoke perfectly compared to when she spoke to her family. I took a quick shower and when I went down stairs I could hear them talking about me.

“I swear, nothing is going on! She’s kind of out of it…Not in a serial killer, I’ll chop you up in pieces kind of way but she’s had a rough year. She made me promise that I wouldn’t tell anyone. I think she may be a bit schizophrenic or something…You know delusional.” I couldn’t believe what she was saying. I knocked on the door anyway and they said I could go in.

“Hi, um…I’m not very hungry. Thank you though.” I said meekly. I was so embarrassed about what I had just heard that I didn’t want to sit and eat with them if I had to stay there knowing that she had made me out to be a schizophrenic psycho.

“Sit down and eat. April’s a bad liar anyway.” said Audrey. Paul smirked at April who pouted in her chair but didn’t say anything. Again I noticed that Audrey and Paul were in their late 20’s or early 30’s. Perhaps they just looked young…We ate in silence and then went to bed.

“Hey Becky.” I heard someone whisper into my window. I turned over trying to ignore whoever it was. “Becky, come on. I want you to go for a walk with me. It will be great.”

“Paul?” I questioned. I squinted because everything seemed fuzzy to me. “Why are you at my window? What time is it?” I couldn’t see him anywhere.

“I need you Becky, just come with me.” I knew that I shouldn’t have gone but I really wanted to know what he wanted. I didn’t seem to be able to control myself and before I knew it, I was climbing out the window.
