A love story of the lesbian variety.

Both Jodie and I became somewhat notorious for displays of affection, on the flower front we’d send each other bunches of flowers regularly. I sent flowers to her work; I had them delivered while her and Michael were working. I was working at the Loft Lounge then and had the hunch to send some flowers; I rang on the work phone and placed my order. I had eleven Red Roses and one Pink Rose in a bunch, pink was her favourite colour and so ordered the pink one to go in the middle of the bouquet. They were delivered within the hour; I had text Michael saying what I was doing, it was a Tuesday afternoon and Jodie had gone out and while she nipped out they were delivered, Michael signed for them and when Jodie returned Michael pointed them out, I think initially Jodie thought they were for him but he soon pointed out they were for her, she was overjoyed.

The following day, I had a small bunch delivered to her work. Again, of Red Roses, all Red Roses this time. I was spoiling her, as knew she was worth every inch of her presence.

Jodie became to spend more and more time with me at my apartment, I would regularly look and sometimes hang out of the lounge window to see if she was coming. Sometimes it would be unbearably cold as I was perched on the window sill, legs hanging out. It was very uncomfortable but I missed her so much and felt like a useless cabbage when she was not with me. I would only have to hear a noise, like a few noisy teenagers hanging around and I’d wait for ages to make sure Jodie was not hassled by them. God help them if they’d made any aggressive stance towards her or comments, I would have flied down those stairs and flung for them all, my Taurus temper would not have recognized the number of people nor their build, I was always so very protective of Jodie, always watching her back and her front and even the side of her, anyone dare make a comment and I bit back. Sometimes when I visited the shop or picked her up I’d sit for hours, just waiting for her and protecting her.

I would even go and drop off a starbucks fat free latte, with something healthy and something as a treat like a chocolate desert, I would buy two salads and share them and then cut the treat in half for us both, I’d often take her breakfast. At the very beginning it would be Mango and a starbucks. I would always talk with Jodie about the nutritional content of food and the importance of a balanced diet. Diet does not mean the stereotypical view of merchandised diet plans, diet means to me the way I eat and what I eat to make myself feel the best I can eat. Jodie was always so open to information and would try things that I would cook and buy. I think a little bit of my enthusiasm rubbed off on her.
