The 3rd part of War of the Woods.

Power. Pure power. Sucking forces pulling me every direction. I felt like I was going to be ripped apart, smashed to bits, fried, and frozen at the same time. Pure power. I smelled a scent. It smelled like I had just jumped into a pine tree forest. The scent was power-pellets. The heated up cottonwood tree buds. They were often used for magic by most nature wizards and witches. It was the main source of  pure power for the portals between realms. But why had I even had that dream?

I suddenly felt like all of the sky had crashed down on me. I had arrived at my original minor realm. I felt, very heavy, like I was made up of stone. Oh, in the other minor realm I had been almost weightless. I had been made up of clouds. Or some kind of mist. Now that I was made up of, well, myself again I would be about a hundred times as dense as I had been just mere moments ago. Or that is at least what it felt like. I saw something in front of me. It was my supplies. They had become a minor detail of the past, bit of time. But at the same time it was not my supplies. They were made up of a mist. I was in some sort of time zone where I would wait to be placed back in my original realm. I wasn’t in my original minor realm. There must be some kind of time jam or something. Maybe I wasn’t the only one who had had that dream. Everybody in this realm probably had the same strange dream as me. Now we were going to have to wait a while for the old realm to be filled with everybody again.

There was a blinding flash of light and the world seemed to turn a brilliant white. Then I was back in my true original realm with everything exactly the way I remembered it. There were my supplies and the raft. I picked up the raft and continued to paddle down the river. After about 10 minutes of paddling my raft started to fall apart. So I took out the raft and repaired it. If I had been from any other village I probably would have had to walk the rest of the way. I took out the map (it was slightly wet and ripped) and looked at it for a while. I had gone a long ways so far and could finish today’s travel fairly soon. I got back into my raft (more like atop of) and kept paddling. At the next turn there were some squirrels setting up a zip line thing (yes, we have cool stuff like that). They noticed me and just continued on with their work.

A bit up I saw a few beavers wearing combat gear. I must have arrived. I hopped off of the raft and asked the beavers ahead of me where this was. They asked me what I was doing. I showed them the map and told them that I was going to Beaver Territory XV.They told me that I had arrived and that I should go to the local inn. They gave me another map of this village and showed me where it was. I walked over to the inn and talked to the owner. The owner let me in and I climbed down the entrance ladder into a enormous beaver dam. I had to leave my supplies outside of the dam to allow there to be more space. I found a smooth part of the floor and got some well needed sleep.
