Chapter 2: Ooops

DARA

“Yah! Hurry up, I don’t want to get caught.” I yelled at the boy who was walking rather slowly.

“Rabbit, we don’t need to rush besides your bodyguards won’t know we’re here unless you tell them.” He said.

“Just hurry up.” I said as I took a step forward unnoticing the vehicle coming my way. I looked at my best friend and I saw him horror-struck. Then I heard a beeping sound, I followed the direction of the sound and saw the vehicle coming my way. My instincts tell me I need to save my self but  I couldn’t move my feet. I was paralyzed then I heard someone call my name. The next thing I knew a pair of hands pushed me, I was thrown in the pavement and there was a loud screeching sound. I looked at the direction of the vehicle which almost hit me, I saw someone lying on the ground. No, it can’t be. I stood up only to fall again, I cringed at the pain on my right ankle. It was swollen, and I got bruises in my body. I tried to stand up, I need to get to my best friend. But I couldn’t get up, I can feel my tears flowing. God, no, please don’t take him away from me.

“Unnie! Unnie!” I felt someone shaking me. I opened my eyes and saw my cousin’s worried face.

“Unnie, you’re crying. Had a bad dream?” She asked as I propped myself up. I wiped my tears away and looked at my cousin.

“Y-yeah.” I said with a weak smile and she hugged me. I hugged her back, thinking about the dream I had. After 9 long years, how come it still feels this way? How come the memory feels like it just happened yesterday? After 9 long years of trying to forget and therapy sessions, I thought I was already over it. But with that dream all the long hours of therapy I had, it all became waste.

“Shhsshh, unnie don’t cry. It’s only a bad dream. It’s not real.” She said while caressing my back. Chaerin-ah, if only you knew what happened 9 years ago.

“I’m sorry.” I said, she looked at me and she stood up.

“Come on, freshen up so we can have breakfast. Nanny Jin made your favorite chocostrawberry pancake.” She said while dragging me to the bathroom.

JIYONG

Finally, I can have a time for myself. Those guestings and photo shoots really made me exhausted. I opened a can of beer and slumped on my couch. I was watching a news program when I heard my phone ring.

“Hello”

“Ji.” A voice said.

“Hyung? What’s up?” I asked a little worried, please don’t tell me I need to work.

“We’ve got a problem.” He said.

“What do you mean?” I asked again.

“Your PA resigned again. Ji, how many times do I have to tell you to be nice to your PA’s?” He asked.

“Hyung, that was his fault. If he wasn’t that dimwitted I wouldn’t have fired up.” I replied.

“Ji, it was a small mistake and you humiliated him in front of many people. You should have known better, anyway I’ll look for another PA but this would be the last time. If your PA quit again, your on your own.” He said.

“Yeah, just make sure that this time, you’d hire someone smart.” I said before ending the call. I switched the TV off and went inside my room. I laid on my bed and succumbed to sleep.

DARA

It was a tiring day and I just got home. Chaerin tried her best to cheer me up, she brought me to the mall and we did some shopping. She also introduced me to her boyfriend. Well, he’s not that bad, he was a gentleman and Chaerin seems to be really in love with him.

“Welcome back Lady Dara, where’s Miss Chaerin?” Butler Yang asked.

“Lady Dara? Uncle! I told you to stop calling me that.” I said making him chuckle.

“Dara then, where’s your cousin?” He asked with a smile.

“Movie house, she’s on a date. I left them after having dinner, I wanted to puke with their sweetness.” I said, then we heard another chuckle.

“Are you jealous? You should start dating too so you wont feel left out.” Nanny Jin said.

“Oh, please. Nanny, I don’t think I’m ready to be smitten yet.” I said and stood up.

“Honey, your at the right age to fall in love. You’re not getting any younger. So try to open your heart.” Nanny said.

“I’ll try.” I said and hugged her. I went to my room and locked my self. I changed my clothes and faced my computer. I opened my favorite site and started backtracking. My fellow shippers are really something, now better chat with them.

I clicked the link and it opened a new window. I read the article and true enough they were looking for a PA. I looked at the requirements needed and smiled. I’m qualified! Wait, I am not applying. I looked at the article again thinking deeply. After a few minutes of contemplating I decided to fill up the form. Now what should I do? Send it? Nah, forget it. But this is my chance, I was lost in my thoughts when I suddenly heard my phone ringing. I was startled and accidentally clicked the submit button. Ohmhaighaaad!
