Just another story im starting Ch.1.

Unexpectedly, the cat spoke. It said,” Are you the Sorceresses Daughter?” I said that I wasn’t with a dumbfounded look on my face and tried to continue my journey home. The cat hissed at me and said,” A grim follows you. You must be her. Don’t trust the grim little one. They have a knack for betrayal.” Just then Derek came from behind me and tried to hit it with a stick. He yelled at it to leave and never return, but the cat just showed it’s teeth as if it were smiling and said,” Soon Grim, soon, it will happen.” With that it ran off and disappeared around the corner.

I stared at Derek and asked him what that was all about and all he would say was,” It’s nothing. Don’t worry about it.” How the hell could I not worry about it! It was a freaking talking black cat!

Finally, we got home and I cornered Derek. I said,” Tell me what’s going on right now!” He frowned and told me ‘no.’ Then he smiled and said,” Let’s play a game.” A game?!?! No I didn’t want to play a game. I wanted to know what the cat was talking about. “No! Tell me now,” I screamed at him. He sighed and said,” Your mother is coming for you soon. So you can fulfill your destiny and become a sorceress like her and command our lands.”

That’s impossible my mother was dead. She had died when I was only a baby in a car accident. I gave him a weird look and told him that, but all he said was,” Can we play a game now?” So, I gave in and played his game.

The next morning I wake up and get ready for school as usual. I go down to the kitchen to grab my backpack, but when I get down there, there is a strange man standing in my kitchen. Behind him is Derek. My eyes turn from the man to Derek and back to the man. Suddenly the man summons up a black cloud and says,” Take her. Kill her.”

I bolted from the kitchen and down the street to where the cat was sitting again. I stop in front of it and it says,” Come with me, quickly.” I don’t know why I did, but I followed it. I padded back into the alley and suddenly disappeared. I stop confused and I hear cackling behind me. I turn around to see Derek. He yells,” She’s this way!” I stare at him in utter horror. “Die young witch,” he said to me right before I’m pulled from behind and through a portal.

I stand up on the other side to see the black cat. “Hurry witch-ling,” it says as it starts to run down the hill we were on. I followed it to a house by a stream near the bottom of the hill. It jumped through an open window and not long after, an old woman came out to greet me. “Where am I?” I questioned. The old woman smiled and said,” You are home my little witch-ling.”
