“Hello.”

Dara heard a voice and knew it was GD’s. She was lying on the couch of the waiting room they shared at Inkigayo, getting a rest before their time to perform on stage. So he’s arrived, she thought. She decided to keep still, and pretend she was deep in sleep, with the Big Bang blanket covered over her body.

The girls and crew greeted him back. They talked about expecting a 2nd mutizen award for Heartbreaker.

“Uh, Dara’s asleep?” She heard him ask. She could tell he was close. His voice was more audible and she could smell his perfume, exciting her. She wanted to glance, to grab hold of his hand. If only she could do that now. She missed him.

“Yeah, we were rehearsing til midnight.” CL offered an explanation.

“And someone who should have been sleeping was still busy texting.” spoke Bom with suspicious eyes and smile, as if aware of Dara’s act.

Fortunately, she was also texting GD, so it shouldn’t be a problem. Also – because she was texting with both GD and YB. She replied to YB’s message to thank him for wishing her and the girls good luck for today’s perf, and so it went, him promising to watch and cheer them on. GD, on the other hand, informed her of the talk that happened between him and TOP, and to tell her that he still needs to see her for a very important news.

She was wildly curious to see GD’s reaction, to ‘wake up’, but decided otherwise.

“This one…” She heard him speak and then pause, “it’s a good thing you’re the leader.” Speaking to CL, she imagined. The girls chuckled.

And then she felt something land on her head.

“Fits her, don’t you think?” GD asked.

“Yah.” The girls answered then laughed.

She felt it lifted off and then back, GD making adjustments. Is he making a fool of me?

“Cute.” Minji said. “We should take a picture of this. Unnie will love it.”Great. Must really get up now.

“Hey…” she said, feigning surprise as she opened her eyes and found the girls and GD hovered around her. “What’s up?”
