This will be my first young adult comedy, Dedicated to my beautiful daughter who always makes me laugh even when I want to cry. We hope you enjoy the adventures of Zeila Finn, it is still being written.
December 7th 1994…
A mystical breeze blew around, Queen Yaleena as she held her precious daughter, bundled in a soft golden blanket. Yaleena had just traveled over three billion light years to earth, in an attempt to escape her evil brother-in-law King Zelden, who threatens the life of her only daughter. Yaleena cried as she placed a gently kiss on her daughters small forehead. Letting her go was the last thing she every wanted to do.
Jumping at the sound of something moving behind her, she knew King Zelden of planet Zek would catch up to her soon. She hurried up the stairs to what she believed to be a safe place for her daughter. She gentle placed her on the doorstep, but couldn’t find the strength to ring the doorbell. She crumpled to the floor clutching her baby girl as she cried.
The loud bang of Zelden’s ship entering earth’s atmosphere was heard and, Yaleena knew it would only be mere seconds before she would be found. Queen Yaleena jumped to her feet, looking over to some hedges besides the building, she quickly ran behind them carefully placing her daughter on the ground behind the hedges. Pulling out a very small box, she depressed a silver button and it transformed into a small cradle for her daughter to be safe in. Queen Yaleena placed her daughter inside, kissed her soft cheek and placed a letter inside of the cradle.
She made it out of the hedges just in time to meet her brother-in-law coming out of his space ship. She looked at him with contempt in her eyes. She was angry over what he was forcing her to sacrifice. Her daughter’s father would never forgive her for escaping with their daughter. King Zandar was not aware of the threats his brother was making against his wife and child. Queen Zaleena tried to warn him about his brother, but he couldn’t accept that his brother would say or do the things she claimed. It had caused a rift in their marriage and when King Zelden made his most recent threat, Yaleena had to think fast.
Zelden glared at Yaleena. “Where is she?” he demanded.
“You will not harm my daughter!” Queen Yaleena yelled as she stood fiercely before him.
“I wonder how my brother would feel knowing his wife ran away with his only child and came to a filthy planet he detests?” King Zelden questioned, stepping closer to her.
