Adaptation of Romeo and Juliet into a caveman version.

Scene 1

(Tyb and Mer walk towards each other.)

Tyb: Stop you Montgoo, this Caplet lands!

Mer: So? Montgoos go where want, no bother with Caplets (says Caplet in disgusted manner).

Tyb: Oh yeah?! (charges Mer with club or spear).

Mer: You try fight me? Hah! (fights back at Tyb with weap.).

Big Chiefie: Stoppa all fighty! Stoppa all fighty! Land maybe Caplet but I own all! No fighty on MY land. (Walks between Mer and Tyb before they kill each other.)

Tyb: Fine, me kill you later. (walks away.)

Mer: No “fore me kill you first. (walks away.)

Big Chiefie: Thosa two cavies, they neva stoppa fighty. Some day they gon” killa eachudda. (shakes his head for awhile.)

Scene 2

(Caplet and Par-Par meet to talk about wedding.)

Caplet: Ah Par-Par nice see you here! You likey me young daughter? She can have many many children, which very good.

Par-Par: Good see you Caplet, and yes yes me likey you daughter. Many many children hmmm, very good!

Caplet: Good you want marry her? I go talk her this night during me big bonfire. You come too.

Par-Par: Yes, and thanky you, see you late late.

Scene 3

(Romeo and Mer learn about a bonfire outside the Caplet cave and decide to go.)

Rom: So, you hear about big bonfire at Caplet cave?

Mer: Yeah, you wan go even when we Montgoo?

Rom: Yes, I need see me lovey Ug-Ba-Ros.

Mer: Oh…Ug-Ba-Ros. Yes we go soon then, but need hide faces…

Scene 4

(They arrive at the party and look around for a bit.)

Rom: You see Ug-Ba-Ros? I no see her.

Mer: No me no see her e-der. Me see other girls you may likey though.

Rom: No, me no likey no one but Ug-Ba-Ros…(sees Jul.)

Rom: Well, maybe me likey her. (points at Jul.)

(Rom walks towards Jul and they make eye contact before Tyb confronts Rom.)

Tyb: What you two doing here?! Me crush you both! (pulls out his club and swings at Rom.)

(Rom avoids the blow and ducks away behind some rocks while Mer tries to fight.)

Mer: Oh yeah well me stab stab you! (charges Tyb with his spear/knife.)

    I don’t know if this says more about your talent for parody or about Shakespeare’s talent for writing colorful and needless filler. :)
