Deviant behavior by the characters of Shakespeare’s famous play in a new twist of the end.

ACT V

Scene I: The Woods

Oberon:

Go fix the mess you have made Puck! This is not how we wanted it to be. Hermia and Lysander are supposed to love each other. Along with Helena loving Demetrius and him loving her back.

Puck:

Yes Sir I will get right on that. But I am out of the potion can you get me some more

Oberon:

Take this juice. It should be enough to repair the loves.

Puck:

Yes Sir I will be right on it. Here comes one of them now.

Enter Lysander

Lysander:

Hello fair Puck. How has your day been?

Puck:

Very well, yours?

Lysander:

My life is always perfect with Helena in it. I love her so very much, but now I must lay down I am very tired.

Lies down and sleeps

Enter Hermia

Puck:

How is your day going Hermia?

Hermia:

Not so well. I thought my love for Lysander was returned but it seems that Lysander has changed dramatically and says he loves Helena. I don’t understand how he could change so fast. I am very tired though Puck.

Lies down and sleeps next to Lysander

Enter Helena and Demetrius

Puck:

How is the fair Helena and noble Demetrius?

Demetrius:

Oh please don’t talk to me I am very tired and must sleep.

Helena:

As I am too I will just take a spot on this ground next to Hermia.

Demetrius and Helena lay down and sleep.

Puck:

Well I guess It is not every day you see four people just walk in here and just fall asleep within seconds. Oh well, it makes my job easier. I sure hope they don’t look at the wrong people when they awake.

Squeezes Juice into Lysander’s, Demetrius’, Helena’s, and Hermia’s eyes.

But now I must be off to seek some supper.

Exit Puck

Scene II: The same

Lysander:

[awakes, yawns, and looks at Demetrius]

Oh what a fine sight this young man Demetrius. He is so handsome and noble. I do wish he would love me as well.

Hermia:

[awakes, sighs, and sees the beautiful Helena]

My oh my that is one nice woman. I am not as great as she but I hope that she will see me as a nice lady. What are you up to sir Lysander?

Lysander:

Oh nothing. Just waiting for my love Demetrius to awake.

Hermia:

Yes, waiting is very tough. I am asking myself whether I should awake my true love Helena.

Lysander:

Oh that is a good idea. You might as well wake Helena or she will be the only one sleeping.

Wakes up Demetrius

Demetrius:

why does Lysander feel he should be allow to marry hermia???!!!!

    this makes no sense…
throughout the whole play, none of the fairies are seen by, let alone talk to the humans (with the famous bottom-titania scene as the only exception), so why is puck talking to the four lovers?

and why would theseus execute oberon if
    1. theseus didn’t even know that he existed, and
    2. oberon is the fairy lord, and if nature went crazy when he was fighting with titania then the crazyness would be ten times worse if he died.

    DUH!!!
