I can’t wait to see that staff. It has so much magical power. Last time I saw it, it was radiating magic!

ALADAR

Shhhhh!

ORC WARRIOR

Best traps yet. No one will ever pass them. Those humans would have to think of knocking the knocker on door 3! Who would do that? You can just OPEN the door! AND they’re trying to open door 2, not door 3! Perfect!

(Orc Warrior exits Stage Left)

SPOOT

Great! All we have to do is knock a knocker and we’re in!

ZIGZAG

No, not necessarily. The middle door doesn’t have a knocker. It’s probably locked.

ALADAR

Good thinking.  Maybe Spoot could pick the lock.

ZIGZAG

Good thinking. However—-

SPOOT

Ok! (Runs to door 2)

ZIGZAG

Wait!

SPOOT

What?

ZIGZAG

Knock the door 3 knocker first! What if there is a poison needle?

SPOOT

Ah. Good thinking. (Bangs on knocker on door 3) (click noise) There! (Fiddles with door 2’s knob. Then pushes it open) Easy as goblin pie!

ALADAR

Splendid!

ZIGZAG

Good work!

(The trio enters door 2)

(In cave room. The trio is in Center stage. A staff is in Downstage center.)

SPOOT

There it is!

(Aladar runs and grabs it.)

ZIGZAG

Mission Accomplished!

ALADAR

No, not quite yet. We haven’t successfully gotten the staff out of here yet. Also, I came to kill orcs and bring them back for a bounty.

SPOOT

And I haven’t got this dungeon!

ZIGZAG

Fine. I have a plan. Aladar, go kill some orcs.

ALADAR

Yes!

ZIGZAG

I’ll go find an exit and plan an escape. Spoot, stay here with the Staff.

SPOOT

Ok!

ZIGZAG

Aladar, be back here in an hour.

ALADAR

No problem!

I’ll be back in an hour, too. I’ll take the Staff, and Aladar will drag a lot of orcs. Spoot stays here and takes the dungeon if possible.

Um, me against a thousand orcs? I’m awesome and all, but don’t you think that’s a LITTLE bit uneven?
