I wrote a play in class that is nothing like this but through an extensive amount of lies I wrote this for my teacher, so she wont get too mad at me hopefully (: Enjoy.

Once upon a time, in a place not so far away, a little girl would soon find a pair of socks that would change her life forever. “Come here! Come here!” The socks cried out, as the girl passed the colorful display window. She turned towards the window, looking for the source of the call. When she saw the socks, she disregarded them as being socks, nothing more, nothing less.

Then, when the socks repeated their cries, the small girl was staring near them, and noticed the sound was coming form them. Her baby blue eyes shining with curiosity and a small bit of terror for the talking socks.

“Yes? Um, Mr. Pair of socks” The girl asked, she was a polite child and respected people; she didn’t know how to respect socks so she treated them the same. “I want you to take me away from this shop.”

“Why? Its such a nice little shop… pretty and small… and its very warm.”

“Do I look like someone who cares for warmth?” The socks asked irritably.

“… no… well… maybe? I don’t know, are you?”

“No I am not, now please if you don’t mind, come inside this shop and take me to your home. But if you put me on your feet there will be a consequence understand?”

“Yes, but if I take you without paying for you… then isn’t that stealing?” The timid girl asked, her mother had always told her not to steal. Ever, for any reason, no excuses, no exceptions. Because if you stole you got hung by a rope around your neck. That’s what her mother used to tell her.

“Of course it’s stealing you little twit. Now, steal me, and don’t get caught.”

“But…”

“But nothing, now hurry up!”
“Ok…”  The girl said. She took the socks, slipped them into her bag, and walked out. Inside her bag, the socks were devising a plan. They weren’t very nice socks, but the girl, of course, had no way of knowing this and continued to think well of the socks while she walked the tattered streets of not-so-great Britton.
