Scene:This can take place on a stage,filmed in a laundry mat,or just simply performed on a random Saturday,guerrilla mime style.No one knows when a mime may strike.

Character:A mime on a mission

Props:Three options:1)no props at all2) Only a yellow striped laundry basket with no contents.3)With a full laundry mat and an empty yellow striped basket.

Use your imagination,the greatest prop at your disposal.

In walks character holding a basket, a very imaginative basket with yellow stripes.

The character carries the basket, with much trouble, over to a washing machine and sets it on top to the side.

Opening the lid an expression of surprise appears as he peers into the machine.

Turning to frustration the character reaches in and begins to rapidly pull out articles of wet clothing and flings them over his shoulders.

Quickly emptying the machine his expression returns to happiness.

The character now unscrews the cap to a bottle of detergent and measures it out into a cap and pours it into the first machine.

Going to the second one, the character begins to measure in the same manner but his expression quickly turns to surprise and he looks up into the bottle while it still pours.

He hammers on the bottle to try and get any remaining morsels of detergent out with an expression of anger.

Realizing there is no more he becomes sad, but quickly gets an idea!

Looking around sneakily, making sure nobody is watching him, he leans over to reach someone else’s bottle of detergent.

Unscrewing the cap he pours a little directly into the machine, but then just pours the remainder in, throwing the empty bottle over his shoulder.

The character can now return to his laundry and begins to separate clothing into two machines, one for whites, the other for the non-striped shirts mimes sometimes wear if they’re feeling adventurous.

While doing this a curious look overcomes the expression of the character as he takes a piece of clothing and smells it.

The expression immediately turns to disgust and he quickly throws the article in the machine.

Taking another piece out he looks at it and picks of something putting it into his mouth. With a look of surprise and pleasure it was good, if not a little crunchy.

With a look of impatience he pours the rest of the yellow imaginary basket into the machine, closes the lid and presses the button.

Finishing his current task he hops up onto the machine and falls asleep.

After a long, yet immediate, time lapse the load is done and the buzzer goes off scaring the character off the machine.

He goes over to a dryer and opens it up before returning to his wet clothes.

He begins to toss them into the dryer, picks up one article he missed and closes the door pressing the button.

The character sits upon a bench and looks at his watch impatiently. Upon the buzzer buzzing he leaps up and proceeds to his dry and statically charged clothes.

He pulls them out and places them into the basket only to find there are too many clothes and presses them in as hard as he can.

Picking up the basket he heads for the door, but notices he dropped something.

Bending to pick it up he drops another and this cycle goes on for some time.

Becoming frustrated he sits on the clothes to pack them in.

Satisfied with the results he heads for the door, encumbered by the load of laundry.

Reaching the door and struggling to open it, it suddenly swings open, knocking the clothes up into the air and scattering them.

The mime stamps his feet very angrily and flings his arms up into the air giving up.
