INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT’S PRESS ROOM-AFTERNOON

A hand of news reporters and print journalists are in the press room preparing for a press conference. On one side of the room, a local news reporter is talking to her crew; the camera operator is prepping his camera for the press conference, making sure the camera is functional and performing at 100%

CUT TO

EXT. REAR ENTRANCE OF THE LECTURE HALL-EARLY AFTERNOON.

Two custodians are pulling a group of trash cans to a near by dumpster. As the custodians are emptying out the trash cans, they get into a heated discussion about Roger Clemens.

CUSTODIAN #1

I don’t know “bout you, but I think it”s kinda hard to believe Clemens, after he done made a complete fool of himself

CUSTODIAN #2

Come on man! Give da’ 7 times CY Young winner a break! How can you believe a rat like Brian McNamee? Dat man changes stories more than super models change clothes at a fashion show.

CUSTODIAN #1

Yeah, yeah, yeah sure! Answer me this question though, why did your boy find it hard to answer some of the congressman’s question when he was on the stand.

As the two continue to go at it, undetected, a GRADUATE STUDENT, wearing a long, black coat enters the rear doors.

INT. POLICE DEPARTMENT’S PRESS ROOM-AFTERNOON

A print journalist is sitting in his seat, writing a couple of questions on his notepad. Across the room, a couple of television crews are discussing the benefits of working on a national television news affiliate than a local news affiliate.

CUT TO

INT. LECTURE HALL

EARLY AFTERNOON

A COLLEGE PROFFESSOR is standing in front of his class, giving a lecture to his students about national security. His students are tentatively listening to his lecture. The PROFESSOR walks to the dry eraser board and writes a quote.

PROFFESOR

“We insist on the principle that no danger or crisis, foreign or domestic, will be solved by Americans surrendering more of their constitutional liberties, in foolish hope that a bigger government will provide greater security.” Larry P. Amn, ladies and gentlemen.

Ever since September 11th, 2001, this current administration focus has been to do everything in the government’s power to ensure that peace and tranquility is attained in this country for its citizens.

A few eager students are jotting down notes in their notebooks; some students are dozing off, others are starting personal conversations of their own.
