Poetry.
A generation
with nothing to say
cell
phones
attached to our hips
as we sit
in
classrooms, bored of the lies
we’re being fed
working low-paying jobs
for indecent adults
with empty faces
most my age are the walking dead
and will end up
typical
like their parents before them
A generation
wasting our hours away on
sports
drugs
drink
reality TV
A generation
even
bored of sex
Powerless
and in debt,
sickened by the air, the sun, the water,
everything full of poison
even the
apples we eat
everyone looks, speaks, acts, talks the same,
waiting to die
with nothing inside but dead air
and I’m stuck here with the rest of them
and I have to hear their prattle in the schools, in work,
on the streets, on the internet
with nothing interesting to say
I want to get away from all of them
It’s all such a waste
