My heart goes out to the families of those who lost lives due to the 911 attacks. They dont deserve to miss a loved one!

I remember the day

The news hit me in such a surprising way

A building hit by a plane

Watching the television felt so strange

This was in deed an event that the reporters couldn’t explain

As they searched for the words to say

It felt like deja vu

Building number 2 got hit and the reactions were so insane

No matter how many miles you lived away

You saw this…and began to pray

Lord let this be fake

Hoping it was all a dream and you’ll soon be awake

But it wasn’t

Loved ones were lost

Sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, wives, and husbands

Sisters, brothers, friends, and cousins.

This was a sad day

This event effected us all in a bad way

It would feel better if we knew where to place the blame

But only God knows the truth

Only God knows from where the idea came

To ram into a building with a plane

I remember that day…

Thats why now I pray

Pray for the families that lost

Pray for the truth that got tossed to the side

Pray for those who chose to not care for other lives

God have mercy on their souls

That is the prayer I hold

As I remember that day!
