This is a poem entitled "9/11 images" It is a 9/11 story of girl who lost her mother in the Twin Towers. We all have a 9/11 story and we can all recall back to that day and recall back to what we all saw and even what we all felt. I hope this poem touches you and I would sincerely appreciate it if you share with me your 9/11 story. God Bless those that lost someone on that dark day.

9/11 Images

You see she’s just haunted by these 9/11 images…

You see her momma was in the was in the building when the planes came/

When she saw the Towers Fall/

That’s when her heart dropped…couldn’t even think to Call on the Name!(Jesus)/

Tears hit her chicks like an Ali Combo/

Bruises on her knees as she hit the ground/

Couldn’t even push the numbers in on the phone/

Next thing she could remember was that Last Horrible Tone!/

When she told her momma “JUST LEAVE ME ALONE!!”/

You see just the day before she walked in and signed/

Momma said “NO!!” and said she “Disapproved!!!”/

But you see she forgot to say I LOVE YOU!!/

9/12 was the day she was to ship out to basic/

That same little girl who use to play with dolls that were plastic/

Is now lacing up her boots and buttoning up her uniform/

And cleaning her rifle with her Tears!!!/

Its just the 9/11 images that encompass all of her Fears!!!/

Now sitin’ on the Front Line/

Still haunted by the 9/11 images pierced in her mind/

Can’t seem to face ‘em/

Can’t seem to fade ‘em/

Struggling every day just to make to another night/

Its kinda funny how every time the moon falls she can still see New York Up In Fright!!/

Was her decision right?!!/

The day she stood up and raised her right hand/

Decided to make a stand/

And swore she would defend/

All enemies foreign and domestic/

Now that same girl has to make her home on foreign land/

Can’t help but to think about the bruises in her own home land/

But the Man (Government) wont let her come home/

Because we all got a War to Fight!/

We each got an enemy trying to bring us down/

We each got a Story to Tell/

There’s always something that makes even the Strongest Man or Woman fall to the Ground/

But its all about how We Rebuild!!!/

Its all about Our Hope!!/

Remember you’re never Alone!!!/

Just take the time to Look Around and Notice Your Still here…/

Even when others were taken Home!!/

What are you going to do to show that you still Remember?!!

We all have a 9/11 Story to tell. Its just these 9/11 images that haunt us!

Don’t let that day define your situation. Hind sight is always 20/20…and yes we remember that day, but we only look back at it because it made us stronger. Keep a tight firm grip on HOPE and never stop Rebuilding!

God Bless you all and please share with me your 9/11 story.

As Always Happy writing!!

I remember when it happened. I was home and happened to have the TV on. It was one of the most terrible days in our history.

Yes it was indeed a horrific time. I remember where I was at that dreadful hour as well. I was in my English class in high school. All of academia was on hold and the faculty wheeled in a TV and we watched as the second plane hit the North Tower. I was only 14 years old when it happened. It was an event that changed my world forever!
