An untitled poem, but with a strong message.
Once there were times,
That we could read between the lines,
And to my surprise,
I find the sun doesn’t shine.
It would be fine, but I know the time is not mine,
Where the cause of the crime is no longer inside,
And the door is locked on the other side.
But the darkness knows too well,
That each our own story is hard to sell,
In a production of show and tell,
But everything I know is a step away from hell.
And inside the shell we call life,
they’ll let us know how far we fell
Before the pavement hits the spell
Of a good trick made too well.
And the evil inside charges away,
Today, and how everyone sees this play,
On a projector on display, but the dismay
Of monotony is here to stay for the day,
With all of us making the getaway for
An easy lay with nothing to say after words.
And I know the place,
It just seems to take its space among the face of the earth,
And the facts make their case in this road race,
Though all we really know is one thing:
We just want love.
