A ballad about a man who wants to find all of the answers in the world.

High upon a mountain

In a village never heard of before,

A boy sits and thinks,

And wanders if there’s more.

Now a man and come of age,

He decides to leave.

To find the answers of the universe,

To find something to achieve.

“I must take our farewell,

I’ll be back when I know.”

“You don’t know what you’re doing,

You must not go!”

He leaves his village,

Friends and family behind.

Acrross the world he will travel,

With everything yet to find.

With white hair, old and weak,

Hungry  and cold, he collapses in the snow.

No questions answered,

But none mattered more:

“Why have you abandoned me?”
