The face of the poor or homeless we do not notice or see.

Once lived on my street

He did not have much money

The clothes he wore were old and torn

A bearded man was his given name

Image via Wikipedia

He pushes around a store cart

It was filled above its sides

Everything he owned he carried around

As the bearded man walked quietly by

Image via Wikipedia

He did not interface with other folks

Yet his face show only hardship and stress

No one knew his real name

A bearded man alone and homeless

He seem to move slower everyday

While the content of his cart continue to grow

His story was hidden from the world

One bearded man with nothing to show

He did not search for money or fame

Survival was his main theme

Most folks seem to avoid him at times

The bearded man often did nothing but cry

It hard to believe his condition and blight

No one wants to see such a horrible life

The pride of this human is a distant memory

A bearded man now only has strife

Image via Wikipedia

With no family or friends he can call on

There was nowhere for the bearded man to go

So he sits alone with his worldly goods

A bearded man alone in the hood
