A New Beginning 

Oh God, sometimes I am so tired and I am so afraid

Though I know you are always here to keep me safe

You are always here to guide me on my way

You are my salvation I know, as I bow my head and I pray 

Oh God, shine your light down on me

Let it heal my heart and let it set my soul  free

Let me be filled with your peace

Let your love bring comfort to me. 

Lift me up and help me to let go

Of the things over which I have no control 

Fill my heart with hope and with serenity 

Help me to find what is meant to be 

I need your guidance in my life

I need you here always by my side 

As I take your hand , I promise to never let go

For it is you I know, who helps me to learn and to grow

Help me to stand up and to try once again 

Help me to find courage and my strength regain 

Help me to find a beautiful new beginning 

Let me look forward to my future beckoning

Let me embrace that of which I am unsure 

Let me face unafraid, my future

Let your wisdom fill my heart as I move forward in my journey 

Let me have knowledge of your will for me

I have overcome so many challenges in my life

You have helped me through so many dark and lonely nights

That is why I turn to you now, for in your love I have faith

For I know with you, I am always protected within your embrace

I thank you, oh Lord for all you have done for me 

I am so very grateful, eternally
