A poem that I wrote to convey the thought that there can be beauty in tragedy.

Life, a beautiful tragedy

As we set upon the beach

We watch the sun as it sinks, behind the sea

Our love was lost to its depths, below

And now we are left to linger in perpetual sorrow

Lost in the undertow, beneath the waves

We slip to grieve our tragic beauty

Dark waters under a crescent moon crash against the stones

Light reflects from their shining surfaces bringing beauty to the dark

A beautiful tragedy, a body lays broken by the sea

Crushed in the tidal current

In their wake left, a life of misery
