We are embarking upon a new year.

Which way are you going to veer?

Everyone has a resolution.

Why not be part of the solution?

There has been too much pollution

in the minds of people today.

The New Year is always a happy affair

regardless of what may lay ahead.

Who is to say

we should even get out of bed?

Will this next year

be better than the year

we have had?

Will it be worse or just as bad?

It is up to we the people

which way it will go.

Just think, how easily

things would roll,

if we would just take it slow

and use our heads,

letting goodness flow.

The planet would be

a better place to exist

if we did not resist,

the good things

and what all that brings.

We should work on making

this new year worth something,

at least in our own

individual life,

and let peace survive,

doing away with strife.

It is our duty to do what we can

to lend a helping hand,

and to take a stand

against all the chaos.

We must stop the chaos.

For if we don’t,

we will be at a huge loss.

Lets go into the new year

with a good attitude,

determined with strong fortitude

against all the bad

that may come our way.

The hope is for

a brighter year ahead,

accomplished during and through

each person’s stead.
