I wish to be with you this birthday.

Still close, still empty pass my days.

Remembering old times, I cherish the last birthday, when you were far from me and we kissed the stars and prayed.

You never showed an eagerness seeing your birthday cake,

but the smile that crossed when you saw me all covered in the flour of that cake.

This new year still brings your birthday….and all i can do from here, is wish to celebrate.

The next year and so, centuries will pass away, still i will yearn to wish you on this day.

What should i name this thing i feel for you?

I know its not love for you never came close for a second or two.
