The Genie appeared and gave a boy the chance of a lifetime. He could be granted any 3 wishes he desired, but there was a catch. He could ask for either selfish wishes or selfless wishes. The boy had a girlfriend, whom he loved very much, but the offer that was placed in front of him seemed too good to pass up. This was his chance to achieve everything he strove for… The boy named his three wishes;

              “I wish for all the money in the world,” he said

The genie replied

            “it is done”

The boy said

            “I wish for enormous strength”

The genie replied

            “it is done” 

The boy then said his last wish..
 
            “I wish to know what my future is like”

The genie, who already granted 2 of the boy’s request, couldn’t grant the third… The genie replied

          “out of the two things you asked me before, you should know what your future is going to be like. It’s going to be prosperous and your always going to be happy because all of these gifts are for you! It seems that you are selfish. It brings me to shame to see another human falling to the advances of my power”

The Boy interjected,
 
            “I asked for money so that I could buy her anything that SHE desires. I wished for strength so that I could pick her up when SHE falls. I wanted to know my future because I wanted to know if she would say “I do” because a life without her is no life at all.

And with that the genie granted his wishes.
