A College farewell composition…

A Boy Yet To Treasure

By: Rionel “2tet” Belen Caldo

Once there was a boy

Who escaped from childhood days

He entered the world of slay.

This kills individual child’s play

Next, changes appeared when

Adolescent stage is finally in

Where playing is not a priority anymore

But, dedication to study must soar

He mark off finishing secondary school

Built with discipline and intelligence in full

It starts competition between sand and stone

Unaware that no one would win this battle for throne.

Because collegiate level is not to excel

For this is a ladder filled with precious shell

Moments are worth remembering

Especially this fifth year standing

Where each COE becomes closer and closer

Not to individual friends but in general as well

And now that they are to reap the fruits of their labors

Allow the writer to congratulate those enormous boars

Allow him to salute their instructors for a job well done

For mounting and providing a promising wisdom

And now that the boy has reached the climax

He will then leave his immaturity days to the max

For a boy will be turning into a man

A man with directed dreams and plan

But mesmerizing his experiences will be remembered forever

Even individual faces in their own personas and inflicting fever

After graduation when everybody shall reach their individual dreams

When some are managers already and others are entrepreneurs

When few are Presidents while others are still unemployed

When many have departed abroad and a few still in their mother’s dress

Remember a boy who someday brings fun, joy, hopes, and inspiration.
