A poem which tells us a story of how a man could overcome his troubles though being tossed on to floods of hardships, still kicking and not a second thought of surrendering…

a Broken Glass

 by:

Czun Celestino Cupid R. Villaflor IV

i

From the peak of the highest mountain, I cross,

erosions have swept by me, then I was tossed…

To the strong current of the river I rolled,

flowing to the mouth of the sea I stumbled…

ii

I stayed there for thousands of years and waiting,

that one day you’ll realize I’m worth something…

Through the waves and the tides I’ve sent my greetings,

from then I’m glad you’ve noticed my existence…

iii

You picked me up and used me for your own deeds,

I’ve obeyed them all, without me complaining…

Trying to be, what you wanted me to be,

no matter how hard,I still have to agree…

iv

I may have crossed a thousand trials and pains,

you may say I’m tough but I am still fragile…

Try to put me down and leave me on the edge,

Just one mistake and I’ll shatter to pieces…
