A Chameleon will fit in

with any background,

with any colour

bright or dark

with any feelings

without a thought.

Thoughts will blend

so amazingly

easily

maybe not right

but also not wrong.

True thoughts not recognised

so trivial so torn

A spirit will

lie low

but

will

bravely

even if short lived;

sometimes

swell

to show it’s head;

to crave from

deep within

to say

so much;

a bubbling

over

thought;

but a strength from within

lays dormant

waiting

just waiting

for that very special day

when the world

will witness

the true being

from deep within

that Chameleon.

Not ready today

but one day will emerge

maybe one day soon.

Many will capture that Chameleon

and try to imprison

in pastures so new

so out of his comfort zone.

In order to force

to compel

to wrench

to pull

that inner being

away from it’s

hiding place

deep inside

the Chameleon.

But this Chameleon

will, never allow

this intrusion

so rude

so cruel

so unwarranted

so uninvited.

The Chameleon

once more

will dart back

into the safety

of its comfort zone.

disregarded

shrugged away

and kept deep within

where

thoughts

and

feelings

cannot reach

cannot force

another awakening

not asked for;

an intrusion

not allowed.

within the Chameleon

that he needs to break out

from hiding!!

forgotten

their mission

saving

a soul so torn so hurt;

but still so very strong.

A strength never to die;

A spirit so awesome

awakens; and is reborn.

Slowly

clockwork fashion

from this spirit;

unconquerable

strength.

not needed

not wanted

at this time of great

transformation

from deep

inside this

Chameleon

losing his power

his ability to blend

losing his strength

spirit

once more.

But the spirit

now reborn

the invisible

so strong ties

snapped in eternal defeat.

A halo surrounded

this new spirit
