A CHANCE OF A BROKEN DREAM.
I didn’t have a choice with the things I thought
A perfect mind just can’t be bought
I lived a life of wrong and unjust
But I was young and understanding was never a must
For me to live each day was tough
The Devil I danced with was never enough
I felt compelled to be like them
But was angry and longed to find my gem
Then along came two brothers their aim so alike
To help me find a better life
So much was against us, all we had was time
To fill up the land, make haste and shine
But the seasons were against us, they could not see
We were people after all, not monsters to be
As the pendulum swayed over actions of past
The agonising wait was to be my last
I danced with the Devil one last Waltz
As I said to myself it’s not your fault
All that was needed was just one chance
To make things good on our landward romance
I hope that the seasons will remember me
And the chance I needed to set myself free
