A description of a chest of drawers.

One drawer is open.
The other four are shut.
Actually, one is slightly ajar.
And another is open just the tiniest bit,
But its hinge is broken,
And it can never be opened or shut again.
The fourth drawer is simply just shut.
And the last drawer is tightly sealed,
It has a big heavy bolt keeping it locked.
So what one do you choose?
The open drawer is too easy,
You know what is inside
The one that’s ajar is no Pandora’s box either,
If the choice is wrong, it can be easily be closed
The one that is simply just shut is enticing,
But what items of value can lie within an unlocked drawer?
The locked drawer is dangerous
It may contain things you do not want to see.
Why don’t you try the drawer that is stuck?
Its hinge is broken from overuse,
And things are stacked inside.

Love the work…reminds of how everyone comes across decisions and sometimes just have to choose.

Yes I see what you mean. Keep generating your ideas.
I find writing them on a piece of paper or pad when you can helps.
Worry of foreboding the unexpected I think?
    Interesting.

This is a great piece. Sadly some opt for the open drawer. I have a feeling you’ve always been curious about the things stacked inside the drawer that is stuck.

Wonderful imagery with a real puzzle offered too. At first glance of the dresser, I thought of my life as an example. Well written with great subject too.
