This is my poem to honor Christina Green, a girl born on September 11, 2001, and died in the Safeway massacre on January 8, 2011.
A babe
Born on that day
When the towers fell
And America wept.
A child
Involved in student government
Went to the supermarket
To see the Congresswoman in her corner.
A white coffin
A sobering result
Of the Safeway Massacre
Rest in peace with people who died on your birthday.
