It was easier making a Christmas wish while still a child.
Toys used to be what I look forward to
When I open gifts
But not now.
I love chocolates and candies
But they are not what I want for Christmas.
I love to shop for clothes
But I feel I have enough of them.
I adore shoes, but I do not want them either.
I have only one wish for Christmas
And it cannot be bought by money.
How I wish I was still a child
Asking Santa for a gift that is affordable.
But, I am not a child anymore.
My Christmas wish is not at all simple -
It is a wish from our Lord this time, not from Santa.
A special time with the ones I love,
Could I please have them back even for a while …
Because they have been with you for years?
