You’re so beautiful.
(and i’m terrified).
A Comedy of lies,
A tragic compromise,
Love is the thief of time,
But you’re so beautiful.
(and I’m terrified.)
With honesty in your eyes,
we fall for your lies; we fall for a nightmare.
Lust, Lust, like cliche theatre.
this is the lover’s war,
a plastic love that cameras “oh so adore”.
Break the mirror.
It’s lying to you.
but you fear, it’s telling the truth.
Passionate lies shaped on your “flawless” lips.
A stereotypical promise shouting secrets in the street.
Dancing in the streetlight,
rumors stirring in the dark,
I turn away.
Denying what you are.
in my hiding place,
somewhere safe and far.
Strange looks from lonely eyes,
searching for a way to pass the time.
break your heart and stand in line.
We’ve outdone ourselves this time.
“and tonight will be the best night of your life.”
Holding on tight to what you adore, masking your face from the hideous world,
passing buildings screaming De jay voui,
falling for the one who lied to you.
obeying the strings that have control,
like a picture-less movie theatre in a fantasy world.
