On August 18, 2005, Hurricane Katrina put the city of New Orleans in ruins.

Hm, I doubt that you know me
But I heard you were a thriller
No need for a formal introduction
I shake no hand of a killer

Bet you’re wondering why I’m here
Speaking to you directly, for your actions,
I know, weren’t meant to affect me,
Yet what you did to those people,
Has still more than upset me

Now I’m stuck in this position
Where I need to speak up, see,
Act as a voice for the people
Whose lives you’ve ended abruptly

Sorry excuse for a woman
That’s the category you fall in
Way worse than a 3 or a 5
Or any other whirlwind

Behind every addiction I know there’s a story,
But you’ve made it hard for me to sympathize with your gory
You should’ve talked it out, brought your worry, for me to understand
But instead you beat through that city like a marching band

Damn…you really do just dance to your own music
But if I start to hear your tunes from where I’m from,
I really just might lose it. So to you I come, with warning
And advice to just not do it…
