Take care
With the steps
You choose

When once you smiled
Carefreely
A bit too soon

Falling steps
And cautious glances

It’s more than the little things
With the innocence
Of childhood dreams

The wind sings
A bit louder today
Clouds roll in
A crescendo
Meaningfully arranged

Stand your distance
For storms rage on
Watch your back
For lightening strikes
In distances beyond

When once, everything
You thought was right
Is somehow
Painted wrong

Step a bit lighter
A bit braver

Grab a cloak
Of courage
Button up
A jacket
Of hope

Reach for my hand
It’ll always lift you up
When once again
You need, the strength
Of truest friends
