All our trials have a purpose…
Image via Wikipedia
I travel the road of life each day,
And drink of the cups I find on the way.
Cups of sorrow, sadness and strife,
Oft mixed with the sweetest cups of life!
I travel the road of life each day,
And leave of the cups I find on the way.
For some lonely traveller I chance to meet
May need a cool drink from a cup of sweet!
I travel this road o’er each long mile,
Knowing my path may meet with a trial.
These trials of life my cup may shake
As loved ones die and friends forsake.
Oh, what will be it’s contents’ worth,
As what’s inside comes pouring forth?
May it only ease another’s load,
My cup of life, by another’s road!
