Make of it as u wish.

you were strong and i was little

a king to the people, i a princess

you had magical powers, i had none

you would say god walked past by and he talked to you under the moon when i was asleep

you would tell me of his dogs in heaven and his beautiful angels

i thought i was special because of you

time passes and with it i age

i began to see the world clearer, through my own eyes and not yours

you let the people down,

i make sense of the world and begin to see all your flaws

you not so perfect anymore

and the magical powers, i asked you that day, u said you had none even though i wanted to believe u were special

you were the best father in the world, a great king as well

maybe i am not so special anymore

you just like all the other fathers and me just like all the other daughters

you are not so strong anymore

you ail and take the wrong path, you shout

you are not so gentle anymore

how can i forget the father i had

the one who was perfect, strong, and different from all

free from all wrong

gods chosen king, i would hear

now just a man, an ageing man with flaws

great kings die great

they do not change, but you have
