and trace by trace.

Who is to say

there will be a race?

Running by foot,

and running in soot.

Chosen at will,

but ever so still,

so as to prevent overkill.

Can’t take it,

and can’t break it.

The loot is good.

But is it worth it?

Going for the gold,

before you are old

is a saying forever told.

Could mean anything,

could mean nothing.

Has got to mean something.

In other words, don’t be afraid

to go after what you want.

If let to pass until you are old,

the memory of your dream will haunt.

If it is in the spirit,

each person’s dreams

are worth it.

If you must, then race

to win your place

as well as your space,

Take heed to your dream,

because after all a dream is a dream.
