I was out for a few pints this weekend with a very old friend of mine, really brought back the Beijing memories, and how much times have changed the way things are.
Look where we are
Look and see how far
We have come as people
Where we have become individuals
We use to sit drink
In the cheap little bars
With the cheap little laughs
Always on guard
But things have changed
We are older now
I’m no longer that whorish little kid
At least not anymore
FUCK! I look at you
Who the hell would have knew
That you would end up with a girl
And I was the odd man blue
Man things different
Everything is so significant
But we really aren’t that different
Your still that blond goof ball
I’m still scamming out in the hall
Now we sit and drink
With a few pints of beer
With little to think
Only the memories remain
Where we had all the fame
Only booze to blame
With those silly street fights
In those crazy Beijing nights
I am glad you here
I still have fear
That we wont always be near
But at least we can drink to the day
Where our lungs will die
And our livers would pay
So cheers to you old friend
Let history stand tall
And the future attend
