Poem:

“Expressing your claim 

        that the world is to blame
for your suffering today
         is wrong,” says the sage,
just turn the page,
           you’ll find that it’s you,
and those of your kind
            how they act and do,
while lagging behind.”

“Life’s journey is such,
              you trudge down
its stretch while you lose or gain,
                with your baggage of pain –
endless tribulation,
                 amidst jubilation;
when you say that you’re doing –
                  trying your best,
who knows, perhaps,
                    you’ve flunked the test;
when you’re apt to complain,
                      society is causing
your suffering and pain,
                       you should really be pausing
and thinking again.
                        there’s no carnival here –
no merry-go-round,
                         but blares of sorrow
today and tomorrow
                           that sound and resound.
so gather your loins,
                             get yourself together,
make the most of your life,
