This poem describes a father. It tells about his worth, talents, and values.
A father’s worth is indescribable
No one knows exactly what it is
But we can only speculate
He’s unique
With a variety of gifts
He looks good to us, with a sharp mind
And having a keen sense of humor
That’s easily discerned
He’s simply he
Dad has special tastes
He likes home cooked meals, pies,
Fine wines, and ginger beer
Loves to fellowship with friends
Appreciates and compliments their talents
Likes singing in the shower
And walking in the rain
That’s only some of the many qualities
That are admirable about him
He’s tall, thoughtful, and disciplined
Likes sports and to be physically active
He has taken us on local trips
Fishing, hiking, and walking tours
He prides himself as being supportive
Volunteers, and gives to charitable causes
He’s proud of his family
Referring to us as the apple of his eye
Dad’s a member of a religious faith
As an Anglican, he believes in sharing
Worshiping the Almighty
Giving thanks for all the good things
That have befallen us
So when we ask him his worth
He often says, “I’m priceless.
No money can buy me.
But all can share me.
My value is for all to see.
