Believing myself to be the servant of god,
i do not imitate my master,

I do not imagine myself a favorite with god,
but for sure i’m proud to have him by my side;
i do not hold other people in contempt.
I believe in the word, the exact truth from god,
there is in  me genuine spirit of compromise.
I have the modesty born of the imperfections of human nature;
i detest the arrogance of theological certainty and the tyranny born of ignorant disbelief.
Believing myself to be the servant of god,
i do not imitate my master,
and forsooth all tyrants,
the worst is a tyrant in power.

( a parody of a poem by Robert Ingersoll)
