The frustration of a young girl, being hindered in her life and the pain she felt, as she was neglected. The freedom she found after, she left her controlling parents and cold upbringing.
I can tell you a fine tale
Oh I can tell you a fine tale, it all began a long time ago.
People called her an eccentric soul. She was happy for a while, then they came one by one, to make her cry.
She pleaded to be released from their clutches of deceit.
They laughed and mocked her, then replied, we are your guardians, your friends. There is no where you can go, you need us. Where else will you go?
She answered , anywhere away from here. Away from materialistic controlling freaks like you.
They laughed, no place is safe, just listen to us, and do as we say. Everything will be just fine, as long as you tow, the line.
This girl cried and screamed out, I feel trapped, you don’t listen. You always inhibit me, I can’t breathe.
She felt small, she wanted to grow.
Night and day she prayed, that things would change, in that cold house she knew no love, no security of a mother’s warmth. Her father had visions of his own, her siblings they were hard too reach. As each one had their own, frustration and self-centred streak.
There came a moment, when she flew away.
Never to look back and free of folks chains.
She flies high, where no one can hurt her anymore.
They try to catch her, she moves too fast.
They can’t reach her, into the depths she goes to. And heights they will never know.
