Sometimes love can be forbidden, the most painful of them all.

Hold me in your forbidden arms.

Woo me with your magnificent charms.

Sweep me away upon a breeze

to a place that only lover’s cleave.

Keep me within your space,

always with the image of my face.

Don’t ever look away,

not even for a day.

Let’s stop shedding

our tears of longing

and meet halfway

in our fantasy of belonging.

My love is nigh you at all times.

My name is repeated

inside of your head

over and over with many rhymes.

You are forbidden to my heart,

but how can that be

when you are the best part?

It feels so good to love you.

I will not deny myself what is true.

Is there a way,

and will we ever find it?

I want you so bad,

and it comes from the very pit

of my being.

I must see you one day

before I die of a broken heart

and the spirit within me

has no choice but to decay.

DB…This is a beautiful heart-breaking, yet deeply hopeful, poem in which I can somehow identify and few the pain of just such a broken heart…this wonderful work of literary art is one with which I can somehow identify…it is a painful read because similar to your poem I can see the image of a very special and dear friend in my mind and the name reverberates in my head and the message of love is stamped upon my heart…thank you for this amazing poem…take care…
