A poem for the decisions in life.
Life is filled with decisions, like a fork in the road
Decisions are filled with emotions, ready to explode
Those emotions can consume ones heart
Inside, they can tear someone apart
When I met with the fork in the road, I wasn’t like all the rest
I looked inside and found something I didn’t know I possessed
When I looked to a side, I saw something completely new
On the other side, I found something I had already been through
When I saw change, I had the urge to pursue
When I saw the past, I didn’t give chance number two
It was a new journey; I was scared but ready to embark
Staring it down, trying to find my courage, but I saw only dark
When I got to the end of my route
I realized I had completed my pursuit
After being scared to advance
I had taken a monumental chance
When I glanced back at my dangerous course
I was able to smile, because I have no remorse
